Rex has played on the Legacy Baseball team for 4 years, 2 years on Varsity!

After graduation, he plans on attending college on an HVAC scholarship.

His advice to upcoming Baseball Seniors is “Stay focused on the task”

CJ has played on the Legacy Baseball team for 3 years, 2 years on Varsity!

After graduation, he plans on attending college and hopefully continue to play baseball.

His advice to upcoming Baseball Seniors is “Enjoy the little moments in case they getting taking away from you by a virus”

# 3      Marissa Ruiz      Right Field

This is Marissa's first year on the Legacy Softball team.

After graduation, she plans to Attend Dixie State University for emergency medical services and nursing

Her advice to upcoming softball athletes is “Take your time be patient and enjoy your final year”

A Special Thank You to my parents Rheanna and William, my grandparents, my two sisters, Madison and Marciella, as well as my boyfriend Fabian.

# 5      Angel Ortiz      Utility Player

Angel has been on the Legacy Softball team for all 4 years!

After graduation, she plans on going into real estate

Her advice to upcoming softball athletes is “Make sure you don’t procrastinate! if your friends now don’t want to see you be successful, those aren’t your friends. focus on yourself because you matter most!”

A Special Thank You to my mom and my coach for standing with me through thick and thin!

# 10      Kiani Tung      Catcher

Kiana has been on the Legacy Softball team for all 4 years!

She has earned a 3.982 GPA and plans to attend Cottey college on a full ride athletic scholarship to study in criminal justice.

Her advice to upcoming softball athletes is “Work hard and everything pays off in the end”

Special Thanks to Mrs. Davis who pushed me inside and outside the classroom. And always believed in me no matter what!

# 12      Neryanna Deleon      1st base

This is Neryanna’s first year on the Legacy Softball team.

After graduation, she plans to go to Dixie State University majoring in psychology

Her advice to upcoming softball athletes is “Upcoming seniors don’t take your high school days for granted and spend your senior year having fun”

A Special Thank You to my mom for pushing me hard everyday and to coach Johnson for making me a better player.

 
 
SWIMMING

Martina Cipriani

Martina is part of Legacy’s foreign exchange program, this is her first year on the Legacy Swim team.

She has an impressive 4.0 GPA and plans to attend a Pilot academy after graduation.

Her advice to upcoming Swimmers is “Enjoy the swimming team,will be the best season of the year”

Alexander Diaz

Alexander has been on the Legacy Swim team for 2 years!

He has a 3.4 GPA and plans to attend Cybersecurity classes at CSN.

His advice to upcoming Swimmers is “This is the time to figure out who you are, but it is also the time to become the person you were meant to be.”

Special Thanks to all of my teachers in my years of High School. They motivated me to keep going, and to do extraordinary things in order to have a better chance at life for me.

Alyssa Hawkins      Freestyler

Alyssa has been on the Legacy Swim team for all 4 years!

She has an impressive 4.8 GPA and plans to be a Film major at UNLV

Her advice to upcoming Swimmers is “Have fun with your last year in high school!”

Zaria McKenzie

Zaria has been on the Legacy Swim team for 2 years!

After graduation, she plans to Attend Johnson C Smith University in the fall.

Her advice to upcoming Swimmers is “Participate in all the activities and sports

Go to prom, grad-nite, and spend all of the great memories of senior year.”

McKay Mickelson      Backstroke & Relay

McKay has been on the Legacy Swim team for all 4 years!

He has an impressive 4.1 GPA and plans to attend UNLV where I accepted a swim scholarship. I plan to follow a path in dentistry/orthodontics.

His advice to upcoming Swimmers is “Have fun with your last year, but make sure you stay focused...beware of "senioritis"

Special Thanks to Coach Casey for believing in me and allowing me to swim in my best events. I am so bummed I couldn't swim for you this last season.

Jessica Alba     

Shot-Put, discus, 1600m, 800m

Jessica has been on the Legacy Track & Field team for 3 years.

She has an impressive 4.16 GPA and plans to go to school for Pre-med/ pediatrician

Her advice to upcoming Track Athletes is “Listen to the coaches, they know a lot more than us.”

Special Thanks to Coach AD for helping me improve more in a couple weeks than I have in 2 years.

Jasmine Brown

Hurdler/ 200m, 100m, 400m, 300 hurdles, 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, and shuttle hurdle relays

Jasmine has been on the Legacy Track & Field team for 4 years.

She has an impressive 4.0 GPA and plans to go to Southern University and AM College. Jasmine plans to major in Agriculture and become an Agricultural Economists, as well as continue to run track in college.

Her advice to upcoming Track Athletes is “Remember everything is mental, don't stress yourself out even if there are days where you want to quit. Remember your purpose and keep working.”

Special Thanks to my Grandpa and all the coaching staff I’ve had throughout my years at Legacy. Everyone motivated me to be a better “me” and always continue to push me as well as my goals in track and field. I learned and experienced so much in Legacy’s Athletics family and I appreciate how you’ve all allowed me to grow. Thank you for everything, I appreciate you all!

Jamari Cannon

Draven Cardwell

Draven has been on the Legacy Track & Field team for 2 years.

After high school, he plans to get a job.

His advice to upcoming Track Athletes is “Just try your best and work hard”

Jorge Esparza

800m, 1600m, & 3200m

Jorge has been on the Legacy Track & Field team for 2 years.

He has an impressive 4.748 GPA and plans to go to Continue post-secondary education at UNR

His advice to upcoming Track Athletes is “Make senior year your strongest & best year ever of your high school career”

Herve Parent

Barrion-Jre Phillips

100, 200, 4x2, 4x4, and 4x1

BJ has been on the Legacy Track & Field team for 4 years.

He has earned a 3.9 GPA and plans to study business and play football at Southwest Minnesota University.

His advice to upcoming Track Athletes is “Work, work, and work, no matter what! Push through all pain because at the end, trust me, it’ll all pay off. Be coachable and listen. Don’t worry about anyone’s races but yours because you have to maintain focus. Find a certain time you wanna clock in at and work towards. Drink lots of water literally everyday and just be safe and have fun. Also don’t run through any injuries, take care of your future!”

Special Thanks to my family, supporting me every step of the way no matter how much I complained. Thanks to the boys that I call my brothers! Also a big special thanks to my youth track coach, Coach Bobby. He’s one of the biggest reasons I'm still running and have been so successful, I love him very much for that. He treats me like his own and keeps me going!

Kayla Marie Simon

High jump, long jump, triple jump

Kayla has been on the Legacy Track & Field team for 2 years.

She has earned a 3.38 GPA and plans to attend UNLV and major in physical therapy

Her advice to upcoming Track Athletes is “Cherish every moment you’re on that track and make good memories with your team.”

Claire Sloane

Hurdles, jumps, sprints

Claire has been on the Legacy Track & Field team for 4 years.

She has an impressive 4.73 GPA and plans to attend Kentucky Wesleyan College on a full-ride scholarship, Majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy

Her advice to upcoming Track Athletes is “Don’t forget to have fun!!! It’s your last year, so make the most of it.

And of course, work super hard :)”

Special thanks to Coach Tyrone Armstrong, who helped me find my place on the team as a jumper. Coach Deborah Borges, whose passion and love for track and field helped drive me during my last (short) season with Legacy. Jasmine Brown, who has been by my side (through everything) since our first day of track practice our freshman year.

 
VOLLEYBALL

#6      Andrew Neal      Right Side Hitter

Andrew has played on the Legacy Men’s Volleyball team for 2 years, 1 year on Varsity!

After graduation, he is planning on studying biomedical engineering and enlisting into the military.

His advice to upcoming Volleyball Seniors is “Don’t let being lazy get in the way of being great. High school is a really important stepping stone into your life. You live and learn so much through these 4 years and it builds who you are so don’t waste these short years with something so small”

Special thanks to my father who has taught me the toughness of life and I’d like to thank my mother for giving me the love and kindness I needed when life got rough.

#8      Jarrod Hayes

Middle/ Outside Hitter

Jarrod has played on the Legacy Men’s Volleyball team for 2 years, 1 year on Varsity!

He plans to play tennis at Southwestern College, and study business and management to become a sports manager. And if all fails, become a worker at McDonald’s and specialize in making French fries man.

His advice to upcoming Volleyball Seniors is “Stay hungry, but never be greedy”

Special thanks to Mom, Dad, TT Tonya, TT Tiffany, TT Sharell, all my cousins, and my team, especially the vets- Harrison, Jacob, Jazel, and Trevor for always letting me know “bro CHILL”. Last but never the least, big thanks to my brother above Akheel Prasad.

#10      Harrison Moore

Outside Hitter 

Harrison has played on the Legacy Men’s Volleyball team for 4 years, 3 years on Varsity!

After graduation, he will join the US Navy, working toward becoming a Navy Seal. 

His advice to upcoming Volleyball Seniors is “Enjoy the last little moments of high school that you have, you never know when it can be taken away. Love your school and keep the good times coming”

Special Thanks to all of the people at Legacy that made my high school experience that much better, especially my teammates for playing to their potential. Also to Coach Eve and Coach Sara for helping me get through tough chapters of my life. I love you all!

Middle Blocker/ Hitter

Malik has played on the Legacy Men’s Volleyball team for 4 years, 2 years on Varsity!

After graduation, he plans on playing volleyball in college and helping his dad  with his gym.

His advice to upcoming Volleyball Seniors is “Don’t rush your high school days to be over, take your time because it will be over before you know it”

#12      Jazel Jesse Hall

Middle/ Outside Hitter

Jazel has played on the Legacy Men’s Volleyball team for 4 years, 2 years on Varsity!

He plans to attend an Electrical Training Program in Detroit, Michigan.

His advice to upcoming Volleyball Seniors is “Don’t take anything for granted, always have fun and make memories with the people you love the most!”

#13      Jacob “Brady” Pettit      Middle/ Outside Hitter

Jacob has played on the Legacy Men’s Volleyball team for 2 years, 1 year on Varsity!

He plans to attend College to be  a physical trainer.

His advice to upcoming Volleyball Seniors is “Don't take it for granted especially if there is a pandemic lingering!”
